Wich is better symantec or any other antivirus?

i think that norton is the best antivirus system out there and believe me it is. i just need ure advice on what u think is better

Well if your mind is made up you won't listen to the rest of us tell you what a fat bloated resource hog Norton is then, will you?

If you have your heart set on paying for an antivirus, Kaspersky and NOD32 are the best available and Norton's not even in the game.

Or you could go with the free Avira or Avast and save that money and your computer's resources.

I agree, Norton is a pig, when you boot up your PC it basically locks it down untill it runs a scan on everything on your PC and determins its "Safe". Id stay away from it. Ive used McAfee and Trend Micro.
no doubt, nortons is good. been in the business a long time, but so have lots of others. each one is updated, and looks if diff places for diff things, so there is no silver bullet, and dont forget the updates for any of them are at least two weeks behind the time, the bugs are writen.
maybe AVG Anti-Virus or the free software ('free' in freedom, not price) ClamWin
Just use Grisoft's AVG free edition. Set the auto scan to do it at night though because it can take well over an hour to scan the machine.
