avast free and firefox are a good team for that specially with avast websheild and firefox blocks the popups

ive used it for over 2 years, its never let me down
theres a free version which is as good as norton antivirus.
theres a paying version with a few more add ons bt the free version is aces
ALSO if u were to change ure web broswer to firefox instead of windowz explorer that gives added protection to pop ups n other nasty things. (firefox IS known as the condom to the internet hehe) xx
