Will at&t and yahoo get rid of norton antivirus and bring the old virus program?

I was wondering if at%26t will get rid of norton antivirus because it slows down my computer and basically makes it useless, I liked the old anti virus program wasn't that good but didn't slow down my computer.

Doubtful.

But, you are under no way obligated to use any of the Yahoo crapware, that Yahoo may pay your ISP, to force down it's customers throats. There are much better free alternatives.

If you need it, for your anti-virus needs, I would suggest Avira AntiVir庐 PersonalEdition Classic. It has excellent heuristics, a virus detection rate that is better than most "paid-for" anti-virus programs and is light on using your computer's resources. Uses less then 10 MB RAM on my machine. And did I mention that it's free!

My personal favourite is the Free Avg program

I had Freedom for a while with Bell, it worked out fine for awhile then it stopped picking up important viruses.

So I uninstalled it.

Upon uninstalling I found 8 viruses that snuck past Freedom after all that I purchased the best of Norton and what did it do to my computer? CRASH! Yup crashed my entire computer. (thank you Norton and Freedom, you just proved YOU SUCK).

I will never go back to Norton Or Freedom. AVG is the place to go!!

You have some other options. You can use some other p[vendor's software. Furthermore, a good firewall will restrict unwanted data from getting into your computer making the need for the intense virus scanning that slows down some computer systems.
