symantec antivirus gives message : please wait while windows configures symantec antivirus. this message comes even when i right click the mouse.....what should i do?

I think your Norton Anti virus was already expired. Or maybe there could be a problem for windows to configure Symantec. Do you have internet connection? Maybe, an update from symantec was corrupted by "windows installer".

Suggestion:

Use "NORTON REMOVAL TOOL" to uninstall Norton and reinstall it again. This will clean up your pc from symantec critical files remains in your pc when you only use the uninstalltion wizard on the cotrol panel.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.

Install it, then select Symantec Anti-Virus. It will delete information from the associated installer and solve this issue.

Then you get rid of the annoying message:)
