The program "autodown.exe" which is part of Yahoo!'s antivirus app is running continu

It is in the Yahoo! Antivirus directory but is older tham most of the programs there (04/08/05 vs. 02/25/06). It runs continuously at high CPU utilization (95+%), and the machine is almost unusable until I use task manager to lower its execution priority (to below normal). This is a real pain (the system is so slow it can take several minutes to do this), and I also worry about whether my anti-virus protection is working at all...

(The parnoid part of me also wonders whether the "autodown.exe" that _is_ running is _itself_ a virus!!! ; %26gt; )

A simple solution to this is to go to Start --%26gt; Run and type in msconfig , then go to the last tab called startup and uncheck the process called autodown.exe. Now restart your pc and it should not be running.
