I have 3 separate software for firewall, antivirus & antispyware. is that okay or it should all

i have avira antivirus, lavasoft firewall and PC tools spyware Doctor. But many people i see have 1 software for all 3 like mcafee security center or similar.

is it good or bad to have separate softwares for each kind of protection?

I think it is a better choice to have different companies protecting your computer. Each company has a different way of writing their software. That way, if one fails, the others will not (necessarily) fall with it.

You are FINE, many of that software has different ways of geting viruses.
having multiple security software programs tend to make a lot of problems.

you should get one program that has everything included.

i use the anti-virus software from trend micro. it has firewall and anti-spyware included.
It really doesn't make a difference as long as you've got sufficient protection from viruses, spyware and hackers. The only reason companies like Norton and McAfee sell "all-in-one" security suites is for convenience, which people always like. However, an all-in-one security suite is not necessarily always more convenient than using a different company's software for each area of security, like you're doing. I have also secured my pc the same way which you have, and have found it just as easy to manage as any of the security suites I've used. So, no, it doesn't matter if you use a security suite or not. Some people just find them more convenient.
there should be 2 softwares like AVG anti-virus its both anti virus and anti spyware and a software for fire wall youll need
3 is fine, just takes up more HD space. If you can live with that your fine. Just don't have 2 programs doing the same job, thats when problems start.
