AVG,Kaspersky,Dr.Web...all of the antivirus cannot erase the virus in my comp,what should i do?

the virus is called Romeo a.k.a ills...i've use every antivirus out there and even format my comp for like,a dozen time...but it's still in my comp...i'm really piss of by this...any suggestions on what i should do????

Might be a boot sector Virus. Considered getting another hard disk drive? They're cheap and would allow you to make a slave drive of your present drive allowing you to clean the boot sector completely. Good luck!

It could be a re-infecting virus. I which case you need to find the source. If it is embedded in the boot sector; check your system.ini files et al. These do not need to exist in XP and Vista, so carefully check what they are executing at boot time.



"Romeo a.k.a ills" is the psuedonym of a hacker who spreads viruses, not the virus itself. A recent virus penned by this hacker was "Massage from heaven".



More help will require the actual name of the virus/malware.



Use a browser other than IE which has too many security holes.
