Antivirus Removal Tool?

I got zonealarm with virus protection. before that i had symantec client security.. my friend installed it when he installed windows xp on my PC.. I thought zonealarm virus protection is better so i should remove it.. but its not completely removed.. and gives problem when install Java. Any tool that can remove this software completely?

You might also try the Symantec web site. They have a number of articles and download that can be very helpful in removing old, partially removed Norton Antivirus products and program pieces.

go to yahoo.com and type in spybot search and destroy, download the program, and after it loads, click check for problems... then when it finishes looknig for them, click fix selected problems... it doesn't guard against them, but it takes them ALL off in like 5 mins... its awesome, and FREE

JUst ask the anti virus vendor all their files extention.

Then go to start/search/files %26 folders

type the file name as given by vendor

when it appears just delete it.
I would use sygate it is free and vastly superior. You will find link below.. For free anti virus use avast... this will be link 2..

before installing this stuff do the following...

go to start%26gt;settings%26gt;controlpanel%26gt; add remove programs

remove anything symantec or zone alarm related..

Install new stuff... you will be much safer and your computer should be noticably faster.

Note: be sure to disable the windows firewall if it is on... it is complete junk..
