Is the space and power it takes up really worth the extra security?

If it'll make you sleep better at night, download and install ClamXav. I don't use AV on my Mac anymore. The one I had didn't detect anything the whole time I had it and it was a commercial AV, waste of money IMO. ClamXav is free.

Ya its slightly more common now to get a virus but people are figuring it out . DL it and install but you dont need to run it all the time . just to be on the safe side .
