Antivirus make my computer work slow?

I'm using Norton 2007 it makes my computer work slow , what is the solution to make it work faster?

yes, norton is slow, that's just how it is. you can disable real-time protection but then there's no point in using antivirus.. kaspersky and nod32 are fastest antiviruses on the market now. we use NOD at work and i got no complains so far. you computer might be slow also because of using norton and some other security program with real time protection like antispyware or firewall.

ok the 1st thing i would like to ask you that is you norton regesterted and do you have the licence in for u antivirus. see if you have then i think there is some software problem and if not then sry friend that is not the right thing becasue not even a single antivirus works without regester to the site. see you think you crack it but the imp updates are not avalabe for u ;). so buy it and i am online leo_star16@yahoo.com. ask me if u ahev more question i can slove your problem.
You can disable on acess scan, however this could risk yourself downloading virus without knowing it
