Antivirus Avg?

hey is avg really that good i seen alot of good reviews about them but someone said it dont have realtime protection i had it before and it did,did they change somthing?

Antivirus Avg?auto protect

AVG is a decent anti-virus (I use it myself) and it does have real-time protection. that being said, it is not the best out there in terms of detection; Kaspersky is, but it's not free.

For AVG Free, go to http://free.grisoft.com

For Kaspersky, go to http://www.kaspersky.com

Another good free anti-virus is Avast. Get it at http://www.avast.com

There are other good free anti-virus programs out there as well, but AVG and Avast are the most popular. As for Kasperaky, if you want the same detection for free and have (or want) an AOL email address, AOL Safety Center uses the Kaspersky engine and signature files.

Actually AVG, and AVAST, are both very good for being free. I tend to prefer Avast, but AVG is fine.

I thought it was good.. remember you get what you pay for these days and, well its free!! so......
Maximum PC still rates it as a must have in any PC tool kit. See November 2006. They also recommend A-Squared also free and good at trojans and worms. Here're the download sites:
